Pero es en el espíritu clásico de la palabra donde Carola Gliksberg es encantadora: como una hechicera, hipnótica, su fantasma neurótico merodeando en cada silla del Café Tabac.

CGK is everywhere. Her different and aspirational name grew subject of consideration. We wonder whether it is an alias. And others wonder whether she is not, in fact, a guy. Although the way she pretends to speak the language of an adolescent girl is quite charming and well-intentioned, Carola is not what she seems to be. The fascination the author raises, the sinister, perhaps can be found in both her name, which is presented as an enigma to be deciphered, and in the mechanism she sets in motion.

The name CGK promotes an encounter with something terrifying: the encounter with the sinister. It’s an encounter with something familiar which became strange. Something that belonged to the ancient dwelling, home, the native land and, due to a process of estrangement, it got lost. Besides, the Sun squares her ascendant. She commands to be decoded and deciphered, since she offers a carefully designed attitude that is both staged and true, deliberate and accidental, strategic and unconscious. Sly and frank at first, Carola leads us to exhaustion.
